Our story

I am originally from the Czech Republic. Every time I visit my family, there are so many indoor places where to take our children and still enjoy some adult time. I knew that our community is lacking a space where parents can comfortably sit back and enjoy a cup of good coffee while their little ones explore a new play area. My vision of owning my own Play Café was created right then.

The thought of starting such a big business at that time was scary. I decided to start small and built a soft play rental business from the ground up. The playground name is Funtown Playground and it is a premier service in the Charlotte Metro Area. I launched my soft play rental in March of 2020. The timing could not have been worse.  The Covid-19 pandemic started with no end in sight however, my business not only survived but has grown. A year later our family grew by one and during this growth I never wanted to lose a sight of my dream of opening a Play Café.

Having two small children, I understand the need for relationships and connections with other adults. I relate to those moments when you feel sort of trapped in your own house and need a change of scenery, both for you and your little ones. I decided not to wait any longer, switch gears forward and make this happen. I am making an investment in our community and bringing my vision to life.
